It cannot be right that main arteries and a highway are closed because the President has to drive to Parliament (held in the City Hall because Parliament burnt down). The traffic jams are insane. The public has as much right to drive on the streets as the President.

Durban has totally collapsed. Nothing works in the city. Beaches are opened and closed every few weeks due to pollution. The city has lost all its blue flag status beaches. The swimming pools in the beachfront are closed due to non maintenance. Majority of the public pools in the entire city are closed due to non maintenance. Over 30 000 street lights are not working. The entire city has thousands of potholes. The city’s entire sewer system is on the brink of total collapse. The CBD looks like a scene of a WARZONE even thou it is literally meters away from the mayors office. All this yet the city had to return R1.2 BLILLION of a grant back to national treasury because it was not used. This is what happens incompetent and corrupt people are appointed to run a city.
