Our yr 7 Language Leaders had a fantastic day out at Commonswood Primary School last Friday to celebrate Bastille day. They did a great job of serving in the French cafe and conducting the French cultural quiz! 🇫🇷😀👏

A very very long 4 hour wait through passport control- we will be on the 9pm ferry local time and arriving back at Stanborough at approximately 12pm midnight!

Another wonderful day on the French trip, this time in Bruges!! A view from the clock tower and a boat ride with lots of shopping in between too! 😁

We are all having a great time at Bagatelle and will be heading back to the hotel shortly for some more French cuisine! 😁

Yr 8 arrived in Dunkirk early this evening on the French trip after spending a lovely time at the boulangerie! We are now having games and fun on the beach! 😁☀️

This week we welcomed the Onatti Theatre Company into school, to perform their play to Year 9 and 10 students who are studying Spanish. Several of our students joined the actors on stage and performed brilliantly, while others participated from within the audience 🇪🇸🙌

Enter the Flash Fiction competition! Write a 100 word story in French or Spanish and submit to your language teacher at school or to Oxford University via their online form- be as creative as possible and enjoy writing! Deadline is 31st March 🇫🇷🇪🇸

The MFL GCHQ Challenge went brilliantly today in G18! Students were very enthusiastic and made good progress on the national leaderboard!

Year 7 and 8 have enjoyed learning about El día de los muertos this week in Spanish lessons. The festival is over 2000 years old and a positive celebration of deceased ancestors 🇪🇸
