One of the odd things about super El Niños that not many people know is that they exponentially reduce the ability of the rainforests to absorb carbon from the atmosphere. So the events that are supercharged by carbon in the atmosphere increase the carbon in the atmosphere.

The care of the weakest is a very important sign of the quality of the social life of a nation.
