Our kids graduate from high school, often going to college and starting meaningful careers! Two of our graduates, sisters, are currently in nursing school 😃. #youthprogram

Starfish provides homework help after school to youth in the East Rogers Park neighborhood. Students are tutored by staff and volunteers in their problem areas and soar to academic achievement.

Thanks to our donors, Starfish is able to bring amazing life experiences outside of the neighborhood to our kids.

Education, especially when it’s a struggle for the student is all about the human connection. Encouragement, support, patience, care, and praise.

When your career is over, you will not remember the lessons, the curriculum maps, or the test scores… you will remember the kids and the colleagues. It’s the people that matter.

This is my inspiration for the month. Just going to keep repeating this. 💪🏼
