What if ALL your favorite @Starknet games shared one leaderboard, one wallet, and one launchpad with potential rewards to earn? That’s exactly what Cartridge just dropped: Arcade. 1. Gaming incentives To incentivize onchain engagement protocols still rely on: • Airdrop farming, where each user is spamming useless transaction only to boost its score and try to extract as much value as possible • Basic “connect and tweet” quests usually followed by swaping 5$ on a dedicated platform • XP grinds All of those are just boosting metrics. Once the airdrop is done: bye bye: engagement drops, activity at all time low. It does not reflect real value, it’s only transactional and there is no positive feedback loops. Do you really think that completing a Zealy or Galxe quest will somehow retain users ? On their side, games have a more natural way to track: • Skill • Progression • Resources • PvP results So basically they are very good to track real engagement. The only issue is that they are siloed: Each game is tracking its own progression, rewards, XP / Leaderboard… Arcade solve this. It is generalizing the deep engagement of any player and make this engagement usable by any project that want to incentivize gaming activity. 2. What is Arcade? Arcade is a kind of game layer built by Cartridge on Starknet. It’s like a crypto version of Steam or Epic Games. It’s a place where: • You can discover new games • Launch games instantly with your Controller wallet • Follow friends and get updated with live feeds • Track your activity, scores (through a leaderboard), and assets For developers, Arcade is also very useful: • Understand player behavior with detailed analytics • Introduce your game directly to players who love similar experiences • Grow your community The Arcade mission is to bring all the Starknet games into a single place. One launcher, one wallet, a bunch of games all at the same place. 3. Arcade overview • Achievements: This section displays all the missions you've completed in Arcade games. E ach completed mission earns you points, helping you climb the leaderboard and showing your progress. • Activity: This section shows every game you or your friends played and what was accomplished • Leaderboards: Two types of leaderboards. The first one is game-specific showing your rank for each specific game on Arcade. The second one is global that rank players based on their global achievements from all games. • Inventory: This section shows every IG asset you own • Coming soon: Marketplace to allow player to trade assets they own IG Guilds to add a social and competitive layer, where players can team up 4.
