One artistic flaw in Obsession is that it shows Ian money falling from the sky after Ian wishes for a billion dollars. It would have been better to delete this scene, thus leaving it uncertain whether the one-wish-willow actually worked or not.

@CalviinCool2 @neonskyward @SportAllNight @dailypop__ Yes and no. Bear never thought the wish would work. He never wanted Nikki to suffer nor was he malicious. But he is still responsible for making the wish. He did violated Nikki's autonomy by wishing to alter her feelings. And yes, the whole incident originates from his decision.

@neonskyward @SportAllNight @dailypop__ There's also many factors that the One Wish Willow is a product that grants objects. Giving someone money is easy but a person with thoughts and feelings is hard. Nikki glitches, when calm, acts like a smooth talker, but when pushed, moves robotically, throws tantrums etc.

Even when he actively knew that the wish was fucked and was against her will, on the phone call, he didn’t ask to cancel it when the guy offered, he asked to alter it. As in he was STILL okay with forcing Nikki to love him, just didn’t want the crazy shit.

@SportAllNight @neonskyward @dailypop__ Bear wishing for Nikki to love her more than ANYONE granted him someone that would fall for him... but the more he moved back, the more she pushed to the point where she wouldn't even care for herself. Bear's fear of rejection is what ruined all of this in the first place.

@neonskyward @StarpopMr @dailypop__ That is expressly not on him. His wish was never granted. The person doing all those things is not Nikki. That is the true villain of the story’s work, the One Wish Willow. We see the story from a henchman’s (Bear) perspective but that doesn’t make him the main villain.

@SportAllNight @neonskyward @dailypop__ He's the one who made the wish though. We see throughout the film that depending on the wish, it will get granted based on the wish. Ian wishing for a billion bucks, grants him billions of bucks.

@MrTempestilence @dailypop__ I mean yeah, throughout the film, Bear's biggest fear is the fear of rejection and losing his sense of safety. It's a very big wish but one where it makes him villainous imo.

@StarpopMr @dailypop__ it's an insane wish to even make casually tbh, but i guess the wish was interpreting a turn of phrase literally, which caused the drawbacks we see in the movie

@dailypop__ the One Wish Willow is neutral, the insane demon that possessed the women was not that demon did a bunch of shit no sane person would do, completely unprompted and unrelated to the infatuation it supposedly felt for the protagonist

@SportAllNight @dailypop__ Tbf, the wish was "I wish Nikki loved me more than anyone in the world"... the wish speaks for itself. Nikki loved him more than anyone, creating this intense self that would obsess over him to the point where she doesn't care for others AND herself.

@dailypop__ It’s his story so he can say what he likes, but the Willow could have granted the wish without screwing everyone over. Multiverse theory says there are many realities where Nikki really does love him and granting the wish could be that he simply lives in one of those realities.

I am making an animated pilot in a science-fantasy universe. I made it by myself with lovely people voice acting and it's coming out by the end of may. Hopefully it goes well

@astrxlstar Question: How would you describe her personality? Better yet, you got any comic book recommendations? I've always been interested in the character, I've only read the latest avengers comics with her but how would you describe her? 🙂

First female captain marvel, first and only black woman on the avengers, still one two black woman in marvel to lead MULTIPLE teams

she could easily be a superhero on par with Storm and Wonder Woman because despite what marvel’s mistreatment has led you to believe she’s VERY impactful on comic books and how female superheroes are perceived
