@Hey_Sports_Fans This is intended to be a brief push. Just a tap on the up key.

@Starters_Orders Another thing that would be good for the jockey mode. Option to squeeze/kick a horse to get it to improve/quicken without pushing/hitting it. Having to whip every race isn't realistic. Horses win on the bridle with just squeezing them.

Starters Orders 8 (PC) has been pushed back to later this year. Testing has brought up a list of fixes, layout improvements and most importantly new areas for the coming Jockey mode. So better to take some extra time to get it right. Updates will be posted here.

@twit37070217 Not at the moment. There are four options. SO6 style, Text to speech and muffled. The Jockey mode now uses these new samples.

@Starters_Orders Will there be new AI commentators?

People have been rightly pulling up the jockey mode sound quality in Starters Orders 8. It did sound like it was recorded on a cheap mobile phone. New audio sequences now in. Much higher bitrate and background comms at finish. Race at Vichy (France). #HorseRacing #StartersOrders8

@stidders17 No. Mobile is remaining 2D. Starters Orders Touch will get a update at some point containing a jockey mode.

@Starters_Orders Is this gonna be available as an app like starters orders 7?

@JoePeploe Right now play testing continues to throw up either tweaks or area where I would like to add new features. Jockey mode would benefit from some new additions but this will push things back. Better that than release half-baked though. 2026.

@CrazyHo63837338 No it's an issue related to figure of eight courses. It is not a problem in SO8.

@Starters_Orders Mark, Riding round Fontwell on SO7, the steering directions are the wrong way round. You have to press the right arrow key to turn left and vice versa. Is this by design?

@TS123326 There is an Auto view mode. This basically tracks the field side-on from a certain distance (depending on field size and position). The user can pan around using cursors but in the mode the view will then slowly return to the default position.

@Starters_Orders Will there be new camera angles in the replay mode?

Quite a few issues cropped up recently. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Firstly horse stats are currently represented numerically. Not so great for evaluating at a glance (although it does give a more precise figure). See image in thread.

@VRSportz If you look top-right at 1:49 there is a small jockey button. This allows you to change the view.

@Starters_Orders Looks great. Will there be a different camera further back when riding (I use the furthest away one in Jockey Rush)?

@Starters_Orders Stallion fees on touch can’t be seen. Takes so much time going in and out. Please make it viable. All stallions on my IPad are $0 until you book them
