What a star we have on our hands. Man utd are so lucky to have him. A reminder that he only made his debut a few months ago and is still a very young kid - 18 year old. I can already sense British media sniffing around for tabloid stories. The kid should be protected by not only United but also his senior professionals and everyone around him. Please DO NOT let this generational talent be targeted by anyone. Kobbie Mainoo 💫.

A lot of football discourse today is built around aesthetics and system comfort rather than actual responsibility. People see a midfielder functioning beautifully inside a settled structure with automatisms everywhere and instantly assume they’re operating at the highest level possible. But there’s a massive difference between excelling within a well-built machine and being the player forced to carry the machine every single week. Bruno Fernandes has spent years creating, leading, progressing play and producing despite instability around him like different managers, broken structures, inconsistent profiles and tactical imbalance. Some players look elite when everything around them works. Bruno has had to be the reason anything works at all. I will say it again, players like Bruno Fernandes are extremely rare in football who deserves every single bit of appreciationg he is getting and dare I say, he is still one of the, if not the, most under-appreciated player in world football in many peoples eyes.

@TheSecretScout_ World class manager had to buy a new starting CB and winger mid season to save their season. Both CB and Winger were already having the best season with their previous clubs. Masterclass. 🫡

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that. Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on. As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

Eyes should be off Carrick after his appointment and straight onto INEOS. Deliver 5/6/7 high quality signings and support your CHOSEN manager. Because if you don't, and things inevitably fall off next season, it's on YOU.

You can want Carrick to be appointed, you can also disagree with the decision. Both cases are absolutely valid. I have doubts about a few things myself, but there are also reasons why it could be a good thing. My point is.. purely as fans of Man United, just please GET BEHIND the man next season. Ultimately, it will be the board’s fault if things go wrong. Wilcox and Berrada should face the music in that scenario. And equally, if things go right, they should get credit for that. It’s just how football works at the end of the day.

@TheFergusonWay We stick with Carrick as there are no alternatives available. It’s as simple as that.

It's only been around 4 months under Carrick, so I don't think anyone can fully say yet what he's trying to build or where this is definitely heading especially with Champions League and a much busier schedule next season. But after almost 13 years without a league title, patience naturally becomes a lot harder. At some point, you need to genuinely believe that the manager will take the club back to the top, and I'm still not fully sure Carrick is that guy (I don't know why because the results have been great so far, but I still think there could be something here that I am missing.) At the same time, constantly restarting every 2-3 years is probably a huge reason United are stuck in this cycle in the first place. That's why I genuinely can't decide where I stand. All I can say is that we need to win and we need to win fast.

@AdamJoseph Game’s gone since VAR took over. Games decided by people not in the stadium.

VAR & Chris Kavanagh just decided a title. Arsenal have done this all season but it's also a foul, Pablo is holding his arms. Common sense prevails. A decision like that deciding the Premier League this season has never been more fitting in a season where referees are the story.
Adam@AdamJoseph

That's a foul on David Raya, there's a hand across his throat. Goal can't stand & needs to be overturned. Common sense. The irony of Arsenal having this overturned for a foul at a corner would be pretty funny & ironic tbf. x.com/soccerbullers/…

I think it’s a foul but it’s ironic because in reality they do it to every single team themselves.

Congratulations to Bruno Fernandes voted Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year. Superb for Manchester United in a tough season. I voted Declan Rice for driving Arsenal to within touching distance now of the Premier League & Champions League. The game’s about glory.

In 1998/99, Manchester United became the first English side to win the TREBLE. David Ginola, with 3 goals and 10 assists for a Spurs team that finished 11th in the PL won the PFA Player of the Year award. Never let them tell you that the POTY is for the winner of the PL only.
