i do.
if anything, i believe in love more now than i did a few years ago.
what i no longer believe in is forcing it.
i don’t believe love should require you to abandon your standards, negotiate your values, or constantly beg to be chosen.
love shouldn’t cost you your self-respect.
it should feel like two people moving in the same direction, not one person constantly dragging the relationship forward.

i don’t think people realize how vulnerable love actually is until it’s over.
there’s someone out there who has seen a version of you that the rest of the world never will.
they’ve read the paragraphs, they’ve seen the “i miss you” texts, they know how soft you became when you felt safe.
they have proof that, for a moment in your life, someone meant everything to you.
it’s a strange feeling. because love eventually ends for some people but the evidence that it existed doesn’t.
