Some college coaches I spoke with across multiple levels believe the approval of the fifth-year waiver may lead some programs kicking off some current players to make room for returning veterans This is going to be INSANE

@CurtWilkerson_ This may actually be the most athletic team not only that I have seen at Arkansas, but in college basketball period. Holy moley. If they played like their A+ game and had Miikka and Wilkenson the whole game they may have dropped 150 lol

FINAL: Arkansas 106, Bahamas 59 Very, very chippy game. But highly entertaining. Jordan Smith Jr led five in double figures with 22. Defense was fun to watch. 18 steals and 13 blocks.

@StatFreak77 @jasonscheer @heitner Yes. Our student athlete clients who benefit from successful rulings in our cases are going to be completely immune to any challenge against the Colorado ruling or any previous case law overturning anti trust cases.

If we're being honest: 1. Any good player from the class of 2022 is in the pros 2. Good teams took care of their needs kn April and May. This mostly impacts slightly medicore players, going to mediocre teams and depth pieces on half decent teams

Have gotten a million texts about this, and frankly dont know how to put it any other way: Most of the players who are now eligible (except for a few like Donovan Dent) suck. Do I wish we could get some basic rules applied? Absolutely. But the number of impact players this makes eligible are a handful. At best 🤷‍♂️

NEW: Judge Charlotte Sweeney has ordered the NCAA to declare eligible all Class of 2022 athletes who exhausted four seasons this spring, per court documents. on3.com/news/report-co…

@nwblackmon I mean why have Rules if the court strips them of their powers? I thought the NCAA was the ruling body of College athletics?

This is just a temporary injunction. The NCAA can immediately appeal to the 10th Circuit, and so it is definitely too early to make summary, certain conclusions about 2022 athletes being eligible. Judge Sweeney has, imo, buried the NCAA’s argument that these claims were released in the House settlement. A The bigger appellate debate imo may be whether Plaintiffs adequately defined the antitrust market.

@TexasTrialGroup @jasonscheer @heitner So basically what you are saying is that if/when the judge rules in your favor in Georgia, the athletes you are representing should be in a solid position to play this season?

The basis of that case is anti trust, @heitner has some good analysis on what the NCAA will do next. We have crucial cases before the courts and upcoming hearings for rulings which still need to be won to ensure our clients are covered under what we believe is the highest standard.
