📣 July 2026 #CABarExam applicants: The fourth weekly Bar Exam Countdown Email is out, and we're at the halfway point! Less than three weeks to go. This week's focus: ExamSoft registration and the mandatory mock exam. 🖥️ ExamSoft Registration & Mandatory Mock Exam If you're using a laptop for the written sessions, you must complete registration and the mandatory mock exam by July 24. Miss this deadline and you'll be required to handwrite your responses on exam day. 📧Starting June 30, ExamSoft began emailing approved applicants with instructions to: Download and install the latest version of Examplify Register your laptop (first-time or returning user) Download mock exam and bar exam files Complete the mock exam and upload your answer file ⚠️ Previously used SofTest or Examplify? You must completely uninstall any prior version before downloading the new one. 📋 About the Mock Exam The mock exam is not a practice bar exam, it's a tech check. It verifies your laptop works with Examplify and helps you get familiar with the formatting tools (copy/paste, font size, bullet points, etc.). The password will be in your ExamSoft email. You must complete it at least once (up to 5 times allowed). ✅ After uploading your mock exam answer file, watch for a confirmation email from ExamSoft; that's your proof your laptop is registered for exam day. No confirmation = not registered. 🔍 Still Pending in the Applicant Portal? Some applicants haven't received their Admittance Ticket or ExamSoft email yet due to pending items. Here's what to know: Pending eligibility – The State Bar has contacted you. If no action is taken by July 14, your application will be automatically abandoned. Pending accommodations – Your ticket will be issued once the review is complete. 🚫No Admittance Ticket? – Check that your demographic information in the Applicant Portal is complete (selecting "Decline to Answer" counts as complete). 🚫 No ExamSoft email? – Check your spam/junk folder. Still nothing? Neuroinclusion is key to a stronger legal profession. The State Bar's Office of Access & Inclusion hosted its ninth annual Diversity Summit last week, bringing together more than 75 legal professionals to explore neurodiversity and the importance of fostering neuroinclusion in the legal profession. "When we build workplaces and legal institutions that recognize different ways of thinking as strengths rather than obstacles, we don't just support neurodivergent attorneys —we strengthen the quality and integrity of the legal services we provide to the public," said State Bar Executive Director Laura Enderton-Speed.
