The marquee race of the WV GOP Senate primaries was in Charleston's SD-17, where Tom Takubo drummed his opponent. He blew it out of the water in Charleston & its suburbs and only narrowly lost the rural segment of the seat.

We came, we saw, we polled. @StateNavigate's polls of the West Virginia Republican primaries in the State Senate called the winners of 8/9 races we polled; the one exception was an older poll that had the smallest sample size of any of our State Senate surveys (largest MoE).

Almost 100K Virginia voters voted early-in-person yesterday, the final day of IPEV. 2.5K mail votes were processed, meaning 101.8K total votes were added.
Just under 1.36 million votes have been cast so far.
The D share of our estimated EV Split ticked up 0.1 points to 59.1%.

NoVa slightly lags the rest of the state, as do many urban and suburban counties throughout. Rural SW VA counties are the deepest green, meaining they have the best relative turnout vs 2025.

~1.36 Million is 94.5% of 2025. The just under 1.08 million IPEVs are 95.1% of the same-day 2025 total; the 282K mail votes are at 92.6%.
