Former Alabama shortstop Jim Jarvis continues to prove why he belongs in the big leagues. Tonight was a prime example of why. In his first start after the MLB All-Star break, Jarvis finished 2/5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Since joining the Braves at the beginning of July, Jarvis has made seven starts. During that time, he has amassed a .320 batting average with a home run and 3 RBIs. What are your thoughts on Jarvis’ play since being called up to ‘The Show?’

Here's how I've graded out the roster season to date. Manuel Campos, soon to be ranked. Johan Rodriguez lead the way for the hitters while Victor Duarte and Brody Fowler have held it down on the pitching side. All four players I'd like to see get A-ball appearances.

@NeilShelat6 The NBA allows teams to go over the salary cap to re-sign their own players, and give them bigger extensions than the rest of the league can. MLB owners proposed something similar. Not bad on its' own, but makes almost all trading purely $ based moves, imo

@Harrisishim He has as much pure talent as anyone but did not show enough this year, for me to move him up in my rankings I'll say that. 0.3% K-BB% does not work. He was at 10.7% there last year. He'll still probably rank in my top 60 when I update, but did not improve his stock this yr

@aahuston May be wrong on this but Dorland isn’t a highly rated prospect so I doubt he’d be getting too much more than the standard $150,000. Similar to Owen Carey a couple years ago. And, FWIW, he, Harper, and Kibler (another potential overslot guy), all tagged the Braves in their IG bio.

Braves have already eaten the 5% overage to sign players. So I'm guess they have nothing left to sign Dorland and perhaps Harper now. Awesome job signing their top 11 picks.
