My pacemaker surgery went well. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. Still in ICU, but I should be transferred out any time. My hope is to be home this weekend.

I had what doctors described as successful heart surgery on Monday. I was knocked out all of Tuesday and am now in recovery. Doctors are still discussing kidney failure, low hemoglobin, and pacemakers, but I hope to come home soon.

In January 1963 Bob Dylan left London a changed man. Shortly after, he released Freewheelin' which included Hard Rain, Blowin' In The Wind, Don't Think Twice, Masters Of War etc. He was still 21 #TroubadourTales 😎

I never realized how many people have my back. I am so moved by your thoughts and comments and am so appreciative for everyone. Unfortunately there was an issue and the surgery was postponed. Not sure when it will take place or when I will be home.

I’ve been quiet lately, but I could use some good thoughts today. I’m having surgery this afternoon to resolve some issues, and my heart and kidneys are at risk. Figured my Twitter friends would want to know. Stay well!

Something is occurring at the ballpark in San Diego that makes it seem the game will not be played or at least delayed. Richards, the San Diego starter, continues to throw, but the Giants players are taking their bats inside

This weekend we remembered Jamie, by sending light to the sky. I know he was with us. I miss him. I know you do too. So get a colonoscopy, hug your kids, drink a gimlet. Talk soon - love Christy (3)

My @NewYorker postscript for Justin Townes Earle, whose music was deep & dark, & whose life ended too soon. There’s a link in here to him covering “Graceland,” a performance that fully topples me every time. Love to his family & to those who knew him well: newyorker.com/culture/postsc…
