Northern Illinois defensive lineman Mark Hensley is signing with Missouri, he told ESPN. He’s an interior defensive lineman with 5.0 TFLs and 1 sack last year. He finished the year with 32 tackles. He’s a native of Labadie, Missouri, which makes this a homecoming for Hensley.

I don’t know where Missouri goes as a basketball program from here. They aren’t good. They aren’t bad. They aren’t good in March but they make the tournament. They are just blah.

One more year. This year’s roster construction simply wasn’t it (and yes that’s on him) but getting this team to at least an NCAA Tournament was a small win in of itself. Obviously expectations need to be better, but have to see what he does with a high-level recruiting class.

On one hand, Dennis Gates has Mizzou's two best recruits since the Porter brothers on the way. On the other hand, he hasn't won in March and his teams have looked outmatched each time. Do you give him one more year with his guys or cut him loose and risk losing the talent?

Story of the 2025-2026 season: This team wasn't at the level they needed to be. Notched some impressive (close) victories, but the overall quality was lacking.
The reasons can be debated the conclusion cannot.

Mark Mitchell was so good for Mizzou and fans will appreciate him even more as the years go by. I feel poorly for all the MBB seniors / vets but especially him.
