@Mossyfoxx @StaticTokyo hi! I've been going to conventions for 10 years and finding curtained off areas or 18+ material in binders that you have to provide an ID to access is incredibly common so you're wrong, hope that helps

@StaticTokyo Just fyi! I've been to all sorts of cons over the past 15 years and I've never seen hidden black curtain sections for 18+ material. Sometimes they ask artists to put stickers over groins/nipples or have NSFW booths together in one area but you don't get carded and it's not hidden

Ive never been to a con in person but even I KNOW that if its a 18+ type thing its usually behind like a black curtain and you need to be ID'd before even going in there... can we be so fr right now

@TeddyShinobi @SpiringVT Not really. It's incredibly common to find 18+ content mixed into artist allies. The content is kept behind curtains or in binders and you have to provide an ID to the booth worker to view.

I’m seeing so much hate for offkai rn thats so forced. Animenyc and anime expo both have 18+ areas in the con center during the day, yet offkai (and by extension some of my friends) are getting hate for having 18+ things cause hur dur vtuber, when its common cons have 18+ spaces

You actually don't hate Offkai enough. Their staff is identity politics driven to the point that they will ban people from participating in panels at the con. They DO have a 18+ section of the convention like most others do but this Fansly booth is in the Exhibitor Hall. Doesn't belong there.

@OffKaiExpo Under California Penal Code Section 288.2, it is illegal to send explicit or “harmful” matter to anyone who is under the age of 18. Explain why Fansly is sponsoring the event and being allowed to put up a booth in the main hall of the event instead of Yabai market.

@crunchbite_game @OffKaiExpo They wouldn't have released "just a few rooms" in a 2nd hotel block. It was probably smaller than the first hotel block with 10x more interest being 3 months out from the convention.

@OffKaiExpo I was 10th in the queue and got booted back to the access code page. That page only appears if there are no more rooms available during the event. There was never really a 2nd hotel block, there might have been a handful of rooms at best.

@HRChanVT @OffKaiExpo There was never an access code. The access code only appears when there is no open hotel block, or in this case, you were in queue to gain access to the hotel block and by the time you gained access the rooms were sold out.

@OffKaiExpo Love jumping into a waiting room and getting kicked requesting an access code and then when I get in all the dates and rooms are taken. 10/10 room block process.
