A genuine question, Minister: If exchange rates are determined by market forces and global factors, then why did then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi repeatedly question Dr. Manmohan Singh’s government over the falling rupee? Were global factors valid then but not part of the explanation now? Citizens deserve consistency in economic arguments.
Indian Infra Report@Indianinfoguide

🚨Government does not interfere in exchange rates as these are determined by market forces and influenced by several global factors: Piyush Goyal.

India With Congress
India With Congress@UWCforYouth·
6 years ago, India With Congress began with a simple belief... that every voice matters, every person matters and India belongs to all of us. Today, as we celebrate our 6th Birthday, we look back at a journey filled with hope, courage, conversations, struggles and countless people who walked with us in the idea of a better India. Guided by the values of the #Constitution, inspired by the ideology of @INCIndia and walking on the path shown by Shri @RahulGandhi ji, we continue our commitment towards an India that is compassionate, inclusive, democratic and just. There is still a long way to go. There is still a lot to rebuild. But our faith in India and its people remains stronger than ever. Because India is not just the land we belong to. India is what we are building together. The journey continues. 🇮🇳 indiawithcongress.org #6YearsOfIWC #IndiaWithCongress

ED used as an acquisition tool for Gautam Adani? 1. Ahmed A.R. Buhari, promoter of Coastal Energen, faces investigation and is jailed in an ED-linked money laundering case. 2. He spends around 32 months in prison while legal proceedings continue. Years pass, his reputation is damaged, and his business comes under stress. 3. Coastal Energen enters insolvency proceedings. Control of the company shifts through the corporate resolution process, with an Adani Power-led consortium later involved in acquiring assets. 4. Courts subsequently quash related proceedings after the underlying case collapses. Buhari walks out of jail. 5. Final outcome: a man loses years in prison, loses his company, and is later freed. India is not a free and fair market. The Modi government is using every trick to help Adani through government machinery. This is totally anti-national!

This photograph was taken at Chennai airport on May 21, 1991 , among the very last pictures of Shri Rajiv Gandhi before he proceeded to Sriperumbudur on that fateful night. #Rajivgandhi Standing behind him in this frame is my father, Vazhapadi K Ramamurthy who was then the President of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee. #vazhapadi For many, this day remains a tragic chapter in India’s history. But for me, it is also deeply personal. I still remember the shock, grief and emptiness that followed that horrific night. We lost not just a former Prime Minister, but a visionary leader who dreamt of a modern, progressive India. Even after all these years, the memories of that dreadful day remain etched in my heart forever. Rajiv Gandhi will always be remembered with love, respect and gratitude. #RajivGandhi #May21 #NeverForgotten #Congress #IndianHistory @INCIndia @INCTamilNadu @RahulGandhi @priyankagandhi @TNCCITSMDept

Pranamam to #RajivGandhi, who laid down his life for our country. He helped build modern India, introduced the historic Panchayati Raj reforms, and above all prepared the country for the challenges of the 21st century. His memory will be a guiding light for all of us.

A relationship that transcends time. At Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s memorial in Sriperumbudur stands a monolithic piece of granite from Kanakapura, Karnataka, carrying his portrait in stone inlay. It is a matter of immense pride for me and for the people of Kanakapura that a part of our land became part of the resting place of Shri Rajiv Gandhi. That granite stands there not merely as stone, but as a lasting symbol of his enduring bond with Karnataka and its people. I also remember with gratitude the support extended by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Selvi J. Jayalalithaa in making this possible. On his death anniversary, I remember Rajiv Gandhi avaru with deep respect and remain committed to the ideals and vision he stood for.

Remembering Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary In 1989, the TIME Magazine Cover Story was "Super India- The Next Military Power" after some of the boldest and brave decisions like 'Operation Cactus' under then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's tenure between 1984-1989. He made India a strong Regional Power in South Asia and Indian Ocean Region India's swift response in 1988 in the Maldives (Operation Cactus) under the leadership of Rajiv Gandhi was hailed internationally. When you think of Rajiv Gandhi you can't help but think about Operation Cactus that was one of the most successful military manoeuvres carried out in South Asia by Indian forces in another country. One of the most powerful moments when India asserted itself as the most dominant regional power in South Asia under Rajiv Gandhi was Operation Cactus rescuing the Maldives from the clutches of a Sri Lankan terror group PLOTE. India under Rajiv Gandhi Executed a bold decision successfully! Read On 👇 ♦ On November 3, 1988, close to 200 Sri Lankan militants from the People’s Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE), mounted a coup in the Maldives. ♦ These militants were backed by Maldivian businessman Abdulla Luthufi, mounted a coup in Maldives and invaded the capital Male. ♦ The militants took control of key points in the capital including TV and radio stations. ♦ Maldives President Gayoom sought assistance from the world but no other country was ready to help immediately, they all asked for time. ♦ India's Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi immediately dispatched 1,600 troops to Male on the same day. ♦ The Indian paratroopers arrived in Hulhule island hours after the plea. ♦ The Indian paratroopers secured the airfield and restored government rule at Male within hours. ♦ Further, Indian troops were moved by air and sea from Cochin, with Air Force Mirages flying over Male in a show of strength. ♦ Within the next few hours, the Indian Army paratroopers rescued Gayoom and secured control of Male. International Reaction: 💎 British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher said, “Thank God for India”, and President Ronald Reagan of the US declared that the Indian action “will be remembered as a valuable contribution to regional stability”. 💎 Time magazine did a cover story: “Super Power” referring to India's overseas military action in rescuing a country. 💎 Even top Pakistani military officials expressed awe at the swiftness and efficacy of India’s response, according to various media reports. 🏆 Operation Cactus was testimony to the fact that India could play a role in ensuring security in Asia and India’s swift, decisive action was hailed by the international community. #RememberingRajivGandhi

The rupee at ₹96 - the lowest since Independence. $22 billion of foreign capital has left India in 3 months. Petrol, diesel, LPG hiked again and again - with shortages across the country. Farmers facing fertiliser and diesel shortages in the middle of sowing season. Small businesses crushed under GST and labour disruption. The futures of crores of students ruined by NEET etc paper leaks. We face an Arthik Toofan. In the middle of this, what does Modi do? He goes to Italy and does reels with Meloni. How tone deaf and blind to people’s sufferings. What does Nirmala do? She attacks Rahul Gandhi. A Compromised PM. His failed Finance Minister. His corrupt and incompetent Education Minister. This is not a government. This is a syndicate to transfer money from the pockets of ordinary Indians to the accounts of two industrialists.
