Just applied to a 12 week government funded AWS programme. It ends with the Cloud Practitioner exam. After that Solutions Architect Associate, a couple of portfolio projects, then applying for remote cloud roles.

It’s crazy how my dock has changed on my phone from just a few years ago. @NotionHQ - Has ai @comet - ai browser iMessage - has @interaction ai @claudeai Each of these has been instrumental in keeping life on the right track from managing my special needs child to work. The future really is now!

Going to document the whole thing here. Coursework, exams, projects, rejections, wins. All of it. No hype. Just what actually happens.

Family comes first. I need work that fits around being home not the other way around. Remote cloud is the target. That’s the whole point.

Doing this from rural North Devon. Starlink is the only decent internet out here. No office. No commute. Just trying to build proper remote income while actually being home.

I agree, trying to do something new with something we’ve had for years is a terrible idea. To many people are set in their ways with phones. Once I want a new one I go for the latest iPhone, just what I’ve always done, it’s easy. A stand alone device like smart speaker or completely seperate device though that may have a chance. They have to make people know it’s a new seperate line of device though to make it work. Best chance they have with phones is to strike deals to get deeply embedded into the already popular OS think how perplexity has their deal with Samsung now which tbh I think is pretty cool

Why the dream for a new ai interface on a phone is likely to fail ✅ they want us to use our phone the way it is but with different inputs ( the iPhone changed not just the interface but the form factor you know you are getting something new entirely) ✅ AI is not perfect and nobody will trust one company with all their data ✅ how scalable is this current ai are hungry for power are we gonna be connected just to do literally anything ✅ Communication with other devices and this weird interchanging layer The truth is I can go on and on but for the same reason ai pins failed this is sadly heading to the same direction but only time will tell I guess
