**Friday Portal Update** It's the last update until next Friday, as I will be unavailable starting this afternoon. Feel free to DM me, but I won’t be posting. Knox is staying, as I mentioned in my post yesterday. There were rumors about both Garvin and Knox, but it seems Provo and Norman are moving on. A collaboration between the two elsewhere seems unlikely, although it was previously discussed. Has Wisconsin found its Rivera replacement? Keep an eye on the Nebraska portal entries for clues. follow @SethVosters I’m hearing that Greyson Clark is down to his final two choices: a Big Ten school in the Midwest and one on the East Coast. Will he choose Kam’s Corner or a Jersey Mike’s combo deal? An announcement should be coming soon. B. Ungar, who entered the portal early, has also narrowed his choices down to two. As for the big news this morning, with the chaos from last week’s big Meyer announcement, I expect a few more surprises today. With that said........ Portal rumblings today, more questions than answers. After the news broke yesterday about Nebraska landing its new 125-pound recruit, information started to come in, along with many questions. Here’s what I know about Nebraska and Iowa: Nebraska discussed adding a 184 lb before signing with his ACC rival, so they are still looking to add someone in that category, which is quite slim in the transfer portal. They are satisfied with their 141 and 149-pound wrestlers, Hockaday and Zinkin. Huskers fans, don’t get too excited, but word is that Shapiro will be teaming up with Ridge Lovett on his podcast this weekend. Iowa and interest in Provo. They 100% were in on Vincent Robinson. I'm not sure why there are those questioning the interests in Provo. Yes, they have DeLuca, who has had some injuries in the past, most recently this year, and everyone knows about Crookham’s long history of injuries. Additionally, Brands is in win-now mode more than ever. However, I’m also hearing that Iowa State is making a strong effort to land Provo. Wisconsin, Illinois, NC State, Princeton, and now Oregon State have assistant coaching openings. I've also heard that another ACC school will soon have a spot available. Who will these schools consider as the assistant coaching carousel is now in full swing? Oh, and I forgot to mention what's really happening at Iowa State. Could Coach Ayers' public pleas be the reason that the Stanford group, consisting of Provo, Knox, Garvin, and Norman, hasn’t signed yet? It seems unlikely that all of them will stay, but it’s interesting that none of them have made a commitment 15 days into the transfer portal. In previous years, big-name players were typically signed almost immediately. Indiana is still working hard after landing Owen and Barket, trying to add at 141/149, with visits completed and a few still coming. Hearing Seltzer interests are from both Indiana and Purdue. Indiana is also looking hard at an interesting name at 184/197, formerly from the Big Blue. I give it to Angel and his team, who are focused on improving the team. Give it to the little guy. Little Rock HC Erisman added Endeme yesterday and Kyrel Leavell from the Citadel a day before his team always scraps hard, and he is always working the phones to get better.
