I’m thrilled that @SteelChoristers are coming to sing against the backdrop of our stunning @sheffcath light show. Tomorrow we have the University Chamber Choir & on Saturday I’ll lead a family carol singalong myself with a piano outside. Thank you so all our amazing musicians 🎅🏻

Emma from @SheffMusicHub came to talk to our children today about vocal health, which was the subject of her Masters degree. She talked about the importance as singers of looking after your voice and your body.

It was very special to sing for All Saints Church, Totley's centenary service this afternoon with Bishop Pete, where the very first service from 100 years ago was recreated. @DioceseofSheff

We have moved home temporarily to @StMarksShef while building work is being done at @stjohnsowlerton. We're very grateful to Beth Keith and the PCC for accommodating us 😊 This week two of our older girls stayed on for the Clerks' rehearsal for the first time. So great! 🎶

Winchester Cathedral Day 5 Yesterday we cleaned up the scout centre where we were staying and then went for a wander around Winchester. We sang Dyson in D and Victoria O Quam Gloriosum at Evensong and then went for chip butties before driving back to Sheffield.

Winchester Cathedral Day 4 🎶 Spinnaker tower, Evensong and a campfire🔥 We sang Gibbons' Short Service and Stopford's In my Father's House - and tried not to cry because it was so beautiful. We then had songs and games, baked bananas and marshmallows round a campfire.

St Andrews URC hosted us this morning. The service was a feast of music, and members of their own choir joined us to sing a piece that their DoM, Douglas Jones, had written. We also had our eight Juniors sing with us for some of the pieces today and they did a great job! 👏

"Why can't we have music theory for an hour?" That's what one of our children said tonight at the end of their half hour theory class, following 1.5 hours of rehearsal. Huge thanks to the brilliant team of Clerks and chaperones helping the children and @doubledaymusic!
