@AmyHockert that's on the parents

@AmyHockert Sure glad we're worried about the important things here.

@AmyHockert Yes 100%

@AmyHockert @FOX9 Definitely.

@AmyHockert I was taught cursive in elementary in 90s have they stopped teaching it?

@AmyHockert Yes! Why not? You can write way faster!

@AmyHockert I think MN would settle for children being able to read print…

@AmyHockert Quality learing.

@AmyHockert Yes!

@AmyHockert Yes

@AmyHockert @bloisolson Crazy that a kid can’t read cursive

@AmyHockert At minimum they should be able to sign their names and be taught proper way to hold a pen/pencil.

@AmyHockert Had a 4th grade teacher who would force us to write everything in cursive. That was 19 years ago. Still write in a hybrid between cursive and print writing to this day

@AmyHockert Ummm... Kids simply don't know how to read cursive because teachers no longer teach it. Sounds like MN Sen. Ann Rest needs to show up to a few School Board meetings to ask why?

@AmyHockert ABSOLUTELY!!

@AmyHockert Grandma is too outdated for today's world she probably doesn't even know how to use email

@AmyHockert When someone utters “not worth learning”, I cringe. Fine motor skills, focus and brain development. Lazy “teachers”.

@AmyHockert Senator Ann H. Rest (43, DFL) It's her party's legacy. She owns it.
