The TQ+ movement is homophobic; that's a big part of what I'm against. Identifying and calling out homophobia is difficult because liars like you grossly misuse the language.

@windupgemma Plus they would've had to pay the other side's costs. It sounds like they reached what lawyers call a drop-hands agreement: we'll drop our claim if you agree not to pursue us for your costs. This usually only happens when a claimant realises their case is hopeless.

Here, they've said it themselves, they withdrew the complaint because they were advised they were going to lose. Their egos wouldn't have been able to cope with that "As proceedings developed, further issues of law and associated risks became clear."

This is not cancel culture. It is an audience deciding that your behaviour has made your product less appealing. The music industry is a consumer market. You are paid because people want to hear the music, buy the records and attend the shows. A substantial part of your audience consisted of gay, lesbian and trans people. You then started saying increasingly deranged and offensive things about trans people, and many of those listeners withdrew their support. That is not totalitarianism. Nobody has confiscated your synthesiser or forbidden you from performing. People simply stopped giving you their money. Kylie also has an enormous LGBT following. Were she to begin screaming about sinister trans conspiracies, her audience would vote with its feet too. Fame does not create a permanent obligation to applaud you while you insult the people who helped sustain your career.
