I know you can’t win at art.
But I feel like i’m still losing.
I sometimes envy when I could
listen in ignorance.
Now every song is a self competition of inadequacy and judgement.
I have a hard time listening to my favorites, because now they’re heights I can’t reach.

@StarmiiMouse In a sense! Moreso to make odd music sound even more odd. Intentionally breaking expectations of form and structure. As if some alien heard of the idea of music but was way off on their guess.

I'm thinking about maybe hosting a "bad music" contest with a prize of $50.
Minimum length would be 30s up to 1min of "music"
Not music designed to be painful, not random noise, but music that is so terribly broken that someone wouldn't know where to begin to improve it. Alien and wrong. Core ideas misunderstood, but as if it was always that way.
This would be open to anyone! Probably a $1 buy-in ticket to just weed out bad actors and spam (if needed).
So I'm curious of interest!
I'd be a judge, and I'll have to enlist a few others. Maybe a panel of 4 if I can manage.
