Once upon a time women took pride in their kitchens. They went to Pyrex and Tupperware parties. They showed off sparkling crystal and gleaming silverware. And then feminism told them a lie. That their kitchens were dungeons and kitchens became bare and white and sterile and abandoned. Bring back making jellies with other women in each other’s kitchens! Celebrate the art of womanhood and the love of homemaking!

It is perfectly consonant with Christian morality to sterilize the mentally unfit, but euthanasia is morally impermissible.

@RealCalebKitson Um yes yes they are the same. Men can and do acquire STD’s and STI’s and pass them to future sexual partners. Both should strive for virginity. Men who use porn or “sleep around” are just as terrible as women who sleep around.

Female virginity and male virginity are not even close to the same. Science and more importantly the Bible bear this out. I have no issue with men marrying women who have had sexual intercourse with men before their husbands. I do take issue with acting like virginity is meaningless and not of great value and difficult to maintain.

Perhaps I havet worded it correctly—the meat of what I am trying to say is that sexual sin and assault of a child is a public sin and something that is done without consent of the child. Sexual sin done with a consenting adult is generally done “”privately”” and not criminally prosecuted in a public manner.

@StephCher55 @Maybenotadoctor @CampbellAn75484 No, I understand fully. You are softening the blow of sexual immorality by labelling it only a sin against God, and a “private choice,” just like how abortion is discussed. Fornicating is also a sin against future spouses, the person fornicated with, and likely your parents.

@Maybenotadoctor @CampbellAn75484 It is a false analogy because they do not share similarities. One is a sin against children and a vile crime, the other is a sexual sin against God and a private choice.

@RayLongstreet @LilaGraceRose Individuality does not define humanity. Look at conjoined twins (a product of late monozygotic twinning after implantation) they are two separate human BEINGS connected via flesh and organs. Are they any less human? No. Are there lives any less deserving? No

@LilaGraceRose Fact Check: Monozygotic twinning shows that individuality isn’t fixed at fertilization. A single embryo can later divide into two distinct individuals, which means there was not yet one determinate individual at the moment of fertilization.

Open any biology textbook and you’ll learn we all start life as a single-cell embryo, genetically distinct from our parents. Human biology 101. I think Dr. Phil was trying to argue the pro-abortion position that a human child’s “personhood” somehow gets assigned after birth. But he’s wrong there, too. Any time, in human history, when we deny personhood or human rights to humans because of ANY factor—race, age, sex, religion—we open the door to history’s worst human rights abuse. The Holocaust. The Rwandan Genocide. Slavery. A human embryo is small and dependent, but so is a human newborn or toddler. Your size, development, or level of dependency doesn’t dictate your humanity or worth. We have double homicide laws that penalize violence against preborn persons if an abusive partner perpetrates it. It’s the blindness of our era that ignorantly denies life before birth and strips all rights from the preborn child. Enough. It’s unscientific and profoundly unjust. If you’re a member of the human species, you have human rights. Period. The first human right is to not be murdered.

@LilaGraceRose If we say that the definition of the beginning of life is subjective to every person, then we allow for murder at any point because there is no standard for when the sanctity of life begins and should be respected

Given his wildly misinformed stance on white race supremacy and men being superior to women, I doubt that he would engage in a murder suicide scenario of his family…however he already has shown a strong attraction to violence towards anyone HE wrongly deems inferior. I do fear for public safety and his wife.

@StephCher55 @TrevorSheatz No, I’m not going to read about Hosea and Gomer, again. I’ve read it. Let’s get back to today and focus on what is really happening. They have 3 children, and there’s zero reason to evangelize about this. He prioritized his brand over his children, and his wife’s dignity.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

If someone argues that a former promiscuous woman is "damaged goods" and questions whether a Christian young man should marry her, remember Rahab. She was a Canaanite prostitute but became a mother in the lineage of Jesus. God redeemed her, cleansed her, and Salmon married her.
