The flooding emergency across NSW is finally over. The event that began in September 2022 ended overnight with the final warning lifted by the @NSWSES. Thank you to our volunteers who responded to almost 27,000 requests for help.

Total fire bans are now in place for multiple regions with high to extreme fire danger across most of NSW, with hot, dry and windy weather increasing the fire risk. There are currently 34 fires burning across the state, four of which are yet to be contained.

Flood recovery is continuing across the State. Today we announced more support for inland NSW communities. Back Home grants, Rental Support payments extended. Grants for businesses with 20+ employees and support for community-led recovery projects. @PaulTooleMP @nmaclarenjones

Last night’s memorial service was a touching tribute to end a very moving day in the #NorthernRivers. Love for #Lismore is still very strong 12 months on from the flooding disaster.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 1 year since the most catastrophic flooding NSW has ever experienced. There’s still a long road to recovery for the #NorthernRivers, but progress continues to made every day.

Fact check… in addition to the $6.1 million @FRNSW station, the @LiberalNSW and @NSWNationals Government has funded 2 new state-of-the-art Hazmat trucks and 32 permanent firefighting positions for #OranPark.
