The @gatesfoundation will close in 20 years, @BillGates announced today. By 2045, the foundation is expected to spend roughly $200 billion — the largest amount a private foundation has ever given away. Gates said he wants to accelerate grantmaking for the causes he has championed over the past 25 years, including malaria and TB vaccine development, HIV prevention, U.S. education and maternal and child health.
