How's it going on your planet? Here on Earth we're experiencing the hottest planet in over 120,000 years, much hotter than at any other time human civilization has existed, mainly due to having the most atmospheric CO2 in over 4 million years, with much hotter times ahead.

Breaking News! Code UFB!!! January, 2026, data just came in from CERES, and the 36-month running average for the Earth albedo (reflectivity) just hit another new record low. This is mainly due to the loss of low-level cloud cover and decreasing snow/ice. Yikes too!

Breaking News! Code UFB!!! Arctic sea-ice has now begun its Spring melt and this year's maximum has passed, at 13,757,000 km² on March 7th. This means a new record low Arctic sea-ice maximum has been set, beating the old record low, set just last year, by about 26,000 km².

Yesterday's (preliminary) global sea-surface temperature tied the all time daily record, set in 2024. Sometimes it all happens at once and you simply run out of metaphors. In other words, SSTs are the gobsmacking canaries in the uncharted coal mine's window of opportunity.

Even without El Niño, Global Sea Surface Temperatures are already hitting daily record highs. We're now entering a climate hotter than has existed for hundreds of thousands of years!
