@teachsci8 A4) Technology can be promoted in a positive way by making connections to those type of lessons to the real world. Students should know that these types of skills are becoming more and more necessary for all types of careers. @doctor2pi#CSUBTEd#csubedte4200
Good morning everyone! We are tweeting live today from the CSU Symposium in Fresno, CA. Here is question #4 for our CSUB EDTE 4200 Slow Chat. Please don't forget to tag your instructor & include our hashtags. #csubted#csubedte4200
@teachsci8 A4: There are many ways to have students use technology in a useful way. Students can use technology to create presentations and to learn many new things. #csubted#CSUBEDTE4200@doctor2pi
@teachsci8 We can promote it by showing them all the different things available to them. You can use a lot of google tech that does not need to be purchased. @Duncannedd#csubedte4200#csubted
@MrsJluvs2teach@Tech_Buddha I totally agree with you my sisters teacher always emails me when she’s having trouble on certain subject areas. It has its benefits (for us adults), cons for our kids/siblings. A good old phone call home still works. #csubedte4200#csubted@Duncannedd
A3: Technology allows for everyone to have instant access to ideas while collaborating with lesson planning. It also allows for parents and teachers to talk during school hours. Im glad technology wasnt around when i was in school lol. #CSUBTED#csubedte4200@Tech_Buddha
@lizorliz@Tech_Buddha I’ve had the same experience google slides were life when I was in high school. It has a lot of benefits for not only students but teachers as well. I know a teacher that has students do their slides and submit them. #csubedte4200#csubted@Duncannedd
A3- I learned firsthand recently doing a group presentation with google slides. You could actually see group members typing in real time and we gave each other feedback and asked questions so easily. #CSUBTed#CSUBEDTE4200@Tech_Buddha
Technology is so important to not only maintain a connection with people but also in education. We have tools such as google slides where we can all collaborate at the same time super helpful. @Duncannedd#csubedte4200#csubted
Welcome to @csubted 's Slow Twitter Chat! We are excited to have students from across @CSUBakersfield 's EdTech classes collaborate and learn from each other through twitter! Reply and introduce yourself. Tag your EDTE4200 professor! #csubted#csubedte4200#edtech
@MrsJluvs2teach@Tech_Buddha I do agree with you. Those projects were always fun. Getting those creative juices flowing. I remember when I had to make a mission replica in elementary school. So hard because I didn’t have a reference other than the picture my teacher provided. #csubedte4200#csubted
A2: In 5th grade I created a television out of a cardboard box. There was no technology used. If technology was used it wouldve made it better. But thinking back it also wouldve taken awsy the authenticity. #csubted#csubedte4200@Tech_Buddha
@tom_karnes My best memory of school was making a stained glass dragon that I designed. I used a light projector to display the image that I drew to the correct size. A better projector would have made the process easier.

@tom_karnes My AP Psychology song about the brain. We only used some audio. YouTube helped us a lot with it. Just by finding a song that would fit all the terms and had a slow enough beat @Duncannedd#csubedte4200#csubted
@Tech_Buddha@BakCitySchools That sounds so exciting being able to gain so much experience by doing something you enjoy. I think it’s true that technology is power.
My name is Rayshell Fambrough-I work as an Educational Technology Specialist @BakCitySchools. I was a special ed teacher & an academic coach prior to my current position
