Day 3 at the new job. I read through the HR Policies and took notes about how to make them BETTER. Then requested a meeting and was actually listened to because my knowledge is respected. It’s an incredible feeling to know I’m in a position to make company wide positive change.

@elliezub Due to the company I work for I’m not going to publicize that. But I will say that the policies are already really great. I’m simply giving ideas for polish where I see it because everything can be improved.

@elliezub Speaking up is actually my job now! I’m the new hiring lead. The HR Director basically said “Go through these, make notes, and tell me what can be better.” She’s also already agreed to implement some ideas I’ve brought up for a company wide wellness initiative right away.

Thank GOD England only has like… 3 actors. I absolutely LOVE starting a new show and being like, “Oh my god it’s what’s his face! I didn’t know he was in this too! AMAZING!!! YAY!!!”

So my new job is HR Coordinator. I’m the new company recruiter, I’ll be the one screening all resumes, I’ll be doing orientation and onboarding. When I tell you that I am going to take every toxic hiring practice I’ve learned about on Twitter and FLIP THEM. For the people!!! ✊🏾

Just completed the second section of the C# course! The challenge project at the end of the course was about calculating students' final grades and involved using a nested foreach loop to iterate through arrays of student names & their scores. Excited to learn more!

If they have another job, they must be stealing hours! We are hypocrites. Your CEO works two jobs, sits on the board of three startups, writes books, and sells speaking engagements. Why can they split their focus, but nobody else should? With remote work, thousands of people are juggling two and three jobs. There's nothing anybody can do about it. Should we care? Creative jobs aren't about sitting 8 hours in front of a computer. Why would exclusivity be more important than how good the employee is?
