I know there have been talks about provincial & national technology strategies but they were always seen as a nice to have. Now they are crucial #amplify2020

Making phone calls and sending texts to youth who have accessed our services in the past to help them at this point and time with counseling referrals and food security issues. That's what they need right now.

@ccyp_ccpj @Rohan_R_Mehta @first_work Access is definitely an issue. Even with those who do have the technology and internet access. With everyone home, families are sharing devices and competing for bandwidth to do their schooling, working & job searching. #amplify2020

@first_work @ccyp_ccpj Laudable efforts have been put in by Canadian organizations to continue vital youth services by moving them online; nonetheless, for some young people, huge barriers to digital engagement still exist & this creates an urgency to minimize these barriers.

@first_work @ccyp_ccpj Many youth are faced with a lot of uncertainty as they look at the months ahead. Many rely on summer jobs to pay for schooling. Plus they don't even know if school will be back in the fall. #impactcovid
