The world after Western dominance won’t be neutral. It will belong to someone else. The “multipolar world” is being sold as the end of Western hypocrisy and the solution to the failures of the current order. But power never disappears, it shifts. And an unstable multipolar world will eventually produce a new dominant civilisation, with its own values imposed on everyone else. The real question is: are those values better than ours? I don't think so.

Montagu Norman was the most powerful central banker of the early 20th century. In a 1924 speech to the United States Bankers Association, he said: “By dividing the voter through the political party system, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting for questions of no importance.” 100 years later, people are still trapped in the same left-vs-right divide while the State keeps expanding.

Reading this morning how the Pakistani Government is refusing to take back two Rochdale child rapists. This shouldn’t be a negotiation, there is no need to negotiate with the Pakistanis. If they don’t comply? £133 million in foreign aid, gone. Send them a bill for previous years too. Tax remittances. 25% sounds fair. In 2021, there was £2.94bn sent to Pakistan. Tax it. Enforce tariffs on Pakistani goods. We have a trade deficit with the Pakistanis. Use it. Suspend visas. Use it as leverage - be cold and calculating. I like the idea of doing it all alongside like-minded nations. A ‘deportation NATO’. I’m sure the Americans would join the effort, with plenty of others. Do it swiftly, brutally, and as one. The Pakistanis would fold by lunchtime. We don’t need to negotiate. We hold all the cards. Use them.

Yesterday's hearing made one thing clear: Washington knew more about COVID origins than they ever admitted. I've been demanding answers for years. The cover-up is unraveling. Fauci and his cronies have nowhere left to hide. foxnews.com/video/63954333…

Once populations lose faith in the state’s ability to enforce borders and maintain order, political radicalization accelerates rapidly. History is filled with examples of governments collapsing because they ignored public anger until it was too late.

Um. No. Trump talks down to everyone else because they are his enemies and he knows it. Xi, on the other hand, is a partner worthy of negotiating a realignment with. There is zero upside in insulting the Leader of China at this point in time. There is nothing but upside for taking European, British and Canadian leaders to task for their perfidy. The low IQ takes of the average “smart” libertarian have become laughable in order to stay in opposition mode. All it proves is that that is their ethos, opposition defiance (daddy issues), not making the world a better place. A partnership with China is an unmitigated good thing. Ending our “partnership” with Europe, walling it off into a Communist hellhole until the people throw off their captors, is also an unmitigated good thing. This spin was wholly predictable before Trump set foot in Beijing.
HealthRanger@HealthRanger

Trump isn't talking down to Xi like he does everyone else. He's actually feigning humility. What does that tell you? It tells you that Trump has no cards. Because if he had cards to play, he would be beating Xi over the head with them. China has all the cards now, and Trump is hoping Xi will voluntarily be nice to the USA, because otherwise we're screwed.

I agree fully with Bertie Ahern. His comments were moderate and reasonable. Any poll will indicate that the majority of people would agree with his view.

For centuries, our parents and grandparents gave their lives to establish a free, sovereign and independent proud Irish nation, and these two people have taken it upon themselves to import millions of foreigners so that indigenous Irish people become a minority in our own country

I can't believe that 8 long years after FG sent Charlie Flanagan to Morrocco to sign Ireland up to this UN Migration Pact WITHOUT asking the People, they're at it again knowing full well the majority want nothing to do with replacement migration omg!!!
Ireland at UN@IrishMissionUN

At the second Int’l Migration Review Forum, 🇮🇪 Minister Colm Brophy reaffirmed Ireland’s commitment to the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. The Compact continues to provide a clear framework for multilateral cooperation, and Ireland will continue to support its full implementation. 🔗 bit.ly/IEatIMRF

What came out of the Fauci hearing today was obvious two years ago and I was tweeting and arguing that then.
Joe Kernen@JoeSquawk

@mikecarlsbad Because without twisting yourself into a pretzel, it was always clear it originated in the lab. Fauci pushed for and funded gain of function research and knew how bad it would look. that’s where all the other crap came from.

I believe Covid and election security are related. After the Russia/Mueller hoax failed to remove Trump, I believe C19 was released intentionally, to force mass mail-in ballots, which the Dems harvested and delivered to blue counties in swing states, and stole the 2020 election. Yes, I am alleging that the Democrats released a biological weapon, to steal an election and overthrow the sitting President of the United States, killing millions of people in the process. Crimes against humanity.
