It is right to bring forward the increase in the State Pension Age to 68 in the late 2030s rather than the mid 2040s. A good move from @TorstenBell. But we need to get it to 70 - and that age be the cultural norm for retirement - asap. We also need to increase the age of accessing your private pension as quickly as possible. It’s 55 at the moment; 57 in 2028. Needs to be much higher as quickly as possible. One of the best ways to boost growth and reduce public expenditure is to get over 55s working longer.
