@_StephenKillen @MarineAFC @southport_fc @ChesterFC quite rightly refuse to pay fees to agents. The agent is acting on the player’s behalf, so the player should pay his agent. Never understood why any club should pay agent fees.
English

Some of the agent fees paid in non-league between Feb 4, 2025 and Feb 2, 2026.
@MarineAFC - £1,000.
@southport_fc - £500.

English

@DanJ4127 @SUFCOfficial @ChesterFC did, the team you eventually beat in the play-off final. Level playing field? 🤔

@SUFCOfficial Let’s be honest, what football clubs out of the Premiership do make a profit!

💰 𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝟑𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
The Board of Scunthorpe United confirms that it will submit its financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2025 tomorrow.
The accounts show a reported loss of approximately £738,000 for the year (2024: approximately £674,000). While the headline result appears slightly worse year-on-year, the Board wishes to highlight an exceptional factor that materially affects comparability between the two periods: the 2024 reported loss was significantly supported by non-recurring donations. Adjusting for those donations, the underlying loss position in 2024 was closer to £1 million. The 2025 result also reflects legacy contracts and cost commitments honoured from the prior ownership period, which have continued to create cost drag during the transition.
The Board are encouraged by the progress made during the current financial year. The current outlook indicates a projected loss for the year ending 30 June 2026 of approximately £400,000, representing a further meaningful reduction in the annual loss position and continued improvement in the Club’s underlying trading trajectory. This figure excludes the impact of a play-off run, which would materially improve the figure detailed.
The Board also wishes to confirm it will be holding an Annual General Meeting in April 2026. This will provide an open forum for shareholders to put questions directly to the Board, as well as to our Accountant Mark Jackson‑Stapleton and Andy Butler.
Further details regarding the AGM arrangements, including date, time and venue, will be communicated in due course.

@amjonno The directors chose not to include a Profit & Loss account in the filed financial statements at Companies House. Not unusual for a small business granted, but claims of 100% transparency without filing a P&L account or disclosing the source of >£2m in loans is far fetched at best
English

What I see here is what I’ve always seen from the club - 100% total transparency and clarity, some other clubs would do well doing the same…
Radcliffe are very fortunate (like a lot of football clubs) to have an excellent owner who puts his own money into the club. A club that’s needed huge infrastructure investment over the last couple of years.
A fortune spent on the best pitch in the league. A ground invested in to become NLN compliant ie floodlight upgrades, turnstiles, food kiosks, fan zone etc.
A lot of money (clearly) has been invested into the football club - it needed it as it was previously left to rack and ruin.
A club budget or club spend is different to what a first team budget is…
There’s a saying in business, you have to speculate to accumulate and that’s exactly what the owner has done, again like many other football clubs owners have done.
But I’ll repeat, there’s huge difference between a club budget (football club spend) and first team budget…
So relax, Jordan Hulme is still the top earner at the club on £300 a week 👍

Radcliffe FC, in the sixth tier of English football in National League North, lost £807k last year, that’s £15,500 a week. It was £674k the previous season. Club is trading due to increased borrowings as long term debt exceeds £2.1m
English

@KieranMaguire Radcliffe aren’t in the National League North.

🔵 Kevin Roberts will call time on an incredible playing career on Saturday when he retires from football at the age of 36.
To honour Kev's legendary achievements at our club and for his outstanding professional career, a presentation will take place pitchside at 14:45.
We advise supporters to arrive with plenty of time and to get into the ground earlier than usual to celebrate the career of a dedicated servant to the club.
A true Chester FC legend. There's only one Kevin Roberts. 💙
