What a difference a week makes After blistering sun on last week’s trip to the Wrekin, this week was blizzards in the Peak District! Our @DerbyUni students did a fabulous job honing their field skills skills in less than ideal conditions Well done all! ❄️😀⚒️ @DerbyUniEarth

What a superb day yesterday. As part of @OriginalGCG annual seminar, I went walking in the footprints of giants - mainly Iguanadonts. Between Pett Level beach & Fairlight Cove, I observed dinosaur trackways, tail marks, bone beds, fossil wood and ripples. Thanks @hastings_museum

Yesterday I attended the annual seminar of the Geological Collections Group @OriginalGCG to learn about putting our collections to work. I presented a poster on the @DerbyUni collection with emphasis on our unique holistic approach to making our specimens accessible to students.
