Labour's Renters' Right Act is protecting millions of renters across England. Here's what it means for you: ✅ No more bidding wars. It will be illegal to request, encourage or accept offers above the set price. ✅ Landlords will not be allowed to ask for more than one month’s rent upfront. ✅ No more “no-fault” evictions. All evictions will require valid grounds. ✅ An end to fixed term tenancies. All tenancies will default to being a monthly rolling contract. ✅ More rights for your pets. Landlords must consider pet requests fairly. ✅ Landlords will have to give at least four months notice when ending a tenancy to sell.

There is nothing low-level about shoplifting. It devastates our high streets and hollows out local businesses. By scrapping the £200 cap, we will ensure they are properly held accountable. Today we said a sad good bye to Mr Chris Burnell, a fantastic geography teacher who sparked the creativity and curiosity of so many pupils at Priory School for decades. He was an inspiration and certainly sparked my love of learning and love of the environment. Rest in peace Mr Burnell.
