@ScheierJason @ILMVFX One of my favourite visual flourishes in the film, well done that man!

So excited that D-16’s energy trails made it into the final film. I pitched this idea in visual development that his rage would become fully manifested in this moment. Much like an awakened ancient demon. The masters at @ILMVFX brought this to life, and even created comp controls to adjust them for impact and emotional impact throughout the battle.

#TransformersOne is like watching all the Star Wars prequels in one go, and NOT in a bad way. Accessible like a Pixar, artistically frenetic like a Spiderverse, and nerdy like a fan-film.

@tj_mackey432 You probably didn’t notice it 30years ago cos of the home video experience of 4:3 aspect ratio tv screens and the beautifully mad era of pan and scan! So many movies are getting re-rediscovered in their original glory nowadays.

@TheSpaceshipper Brilliant series, way ahead of its time (the remake of Battlestar owes a ton to it). Also, some truly alien-feeling spaceship designs. The premature cancellation also led to the writers making one of the most interesting, mould-breaking final episodes of tv ever.

Space: Above and Beyond (1995) The very first cancellation which traumatized me. 🫡

Why is this so damn good! Small studios seem to better at making anime (yes that is the term I'm using). This thing has so much damn heart.
