He and George both doing 2 pages a day --with scenes so packed with detail-- gives ME a panic attack 40 years later.

More on Crisis... I don't know that he's totally "unsung," but I do know that Jerry Ordway doesn't get enough credit for his work on this book (and his career in general).

Reading the original Crisis on Infinite Earths for the first time in ages and --while I've always adored it-- age and experience have really made me appreciate what a massive editorial lift this must have been.

@marvwolfman Having done a few of these at a much-smaller scale, I think it was an ingenious storytelling maneuver. (Though, from reading the memos, I guess it didn't really save many headaches ultimately.)

@StephenWacker @TomBrevoort Back in I think 2005 DC out out a Crisis slipcase that had a second book full of all the inter-office editorial memos back and fourth during it’s production. It’s fascinating.
