The tax system is rigged. A new report shows the wealthiest are paying an effective tax rate of 9.4%, while the average person is paying 20.2%. This is a disgrace. The Government must immediately introduce a range of wealth taxes starting with a comprehensive capital gains tax.

Chiefs with an absolutely incredible win against the 23 crusaders and Angus Gardner. What a biased second half. Shocking refereeing #SuperRugby #Chiefs #Crusaders

Can we all just agree on one thing: today’s tax reports prove that New Zealand workers deserve a tax cut. National will deliver it.

Why do we care what the richest 400 pay in taxes? They obviously pay a lot more than the average, the rich pay most of the taxes. Maybe we should be more concerned about the unproductive beneficiaries?

Fun fact: If a National party MP had 7 separate accounts/charges of bullying levelled at them, the press gallery would demanding an instant resignation, and calling for Luxon to go as well. Media pressure would be relentless! Yet Shaw and Davidson are allowed to go into hiding.

You'd think that just for one day of the year, Golriz Ghahraman could stay off Twitter and show a bit of common decency. But no, that's clearly too much to ask. Today is not about glorifying war; it's about remembrance of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

People who block motorways and key state highways to try and advocate for more passenger rail are reckless idiots. National will not accept these tactics by Restore Passenger Rail and will increase penalties for people who intentionally block critical roads.

So @NZStuff thought this was ok - making a joke about Hitler and David Seymour. But clutched their pearls because a National candidate did. #hypocrites #DoubleStandards

Strange to hear Chris Hipkins say the previous proposal was not co-governance and that this proposal is not co-governance. The govt. has described the regional rep approach as co-governance including in patsy questions to itself.

#REVEALED Labour has increased the number of communications staff in the public service by over 50%. Instead of delivering better outcomes for kiwis Labour is growing a bloated bureaucracy. Labour’s spinning is out of control! newshub.co.nz/home/politics/…
