🇪🇬 There’s a reason why I chose Salah as the centre piece for my book cover. His story is the ultimate underdog story. A boy from Nagrig who had a dream nobody thought was possible. But he never gave up and achieved more than he ever thought was possible. Special player.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 Delighted to share that I’ve written a book. It’s called Rise of the Underdogs and it will be released later this year. It’s about the changing landscape of modern football and about players and teams who have overcome the odds to make it. It includes interviews with players and coaches from 24 countries and 6 continents. RTs and shares appreciated.

This afternoon, Dame Sarah Mullally was installed at Canterbury Cathedral as the first woman to serve as Archbishop of Canterbury, during a service attended by The Prince and Princess of Wales. Last month, His Majesty received Dame Sarah at Buckingham Palace, where she paid homage to him as Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

A beautiful keepsake of tributes honoring the late Biodun Jeyifo (BeeJay), Professor Emeritus at both Cornell and Harvard, thoughtfully compiled by the editors of The NEWS magazine. A deeply worthy read for anyone wishing to reflect on his immense legacy. sl1nk.com/nlK9j

BRT isn't the only means of transportation in Lagos state. Lagos state as a subnational government commisioned 2 intra-city rail lines in 5 years. Broke ground for the 3rd rail line construction in the Lekki axis. This is what some African countries aspire to do. Built 13 new jetties for water transportation. Commissioned high-capacity boats. Launched LagRide cabs and last-mile buses, currently building a multi-modal transport interchange in Marina, Ajah, Mile 2, and Bus corridors in parts of the state. What is bad about buying cars for Level 17 civil servants who have spent over 30 years serving the state? Don't they deserve it? What is it about Lagos all the time?
Basil@basilabia

For statistical and situational context, Lagos State has just 358 BRT buses serving its 15 million+ population. Death by capital misallocation.

Still no whitepaper on this platform. No Insight on what we are getting, what we will measure or how Nigerian can take advantage of it. Nothing. I just don’t understand how you have a vision but you won’t write it down. Please help @otegaogra @toluogunlesi @joduwole @OpeBee

The comments and quotes are funny. Most of the people commenting don't know jack about what he is talking about, but herd mentality is driving them crazy 😂 How do you falsify a claim when you don't even understand the claim in the first place? Social media is such an interesting place

I look at the comments and the quotes, and I laugh. They don't know who Sam is they think he works for Nairametrics. Samson Esemuede CFA. He is perhaps the best asset manager in Nigeria, His Magna Equity Fund delivered 71% last year, 3rd highest in the entire country.
