@CoyJandreau Yeah, can confirm, he's still here signing. All of the tech crew has to stay until the room and stage is clear. 🙃

@natabasso Also curious if there's room in this model for group work or if educational paths become too hyper individualized. How do students actually learn collaboration, problem solving, etc?

@natabasso I wonder why have "wellness guides" specialize? What does the wellness guide: student interaction look like? I think the more we start to rely on tech for education, the more important close personal relationships including an adult mentor/ coach/ guide will be.

Future scenario: 10 years from now, the gov't has handed over curriculum design to AI for student-driven personalized learning. Teachers have been redeployed as "wellness guides" and must specialize in one of the disciplines shown below. How do you feel about this? Questions?

I'm increasingly intrigued by the intersection between attachment theory (or strategies) and nervous system regulation — does anyone have any good leads, research papers or ideas along these lines?

@VincentBriere @jonnym1ller I finally got a therapist who intentionally works to have a regulated mind & nervous system because it affects the people around her. The difference between how I felt in her room vs past therapists was staggering. Then I realized my self regulation could have that effect too🤯

@HippyMomPhD Important to me to be specific here bc this oversimplification causes some adults to not be able to grasp why they have insecure attachment. They get stuck 1. Confused or in denial bc they know their parents loved them. 2. Feeling shame for "blaming" parents who did their best.

@HippyMomPhD Totally agree. However, parents can love their children but still not be totally attuned to them or emotionally mature themselves, which can lead to lead to insecure attachment in those children >> adults. Love doesn't always equal secure attachment.

Attachment is the bond a child forms with caregivers Poor attachment changes how the body works at a cellular level leading to disease (heart attacks, mental health disorders) Our relationships with our kids last their entire lives Love them deeply❤️

What would the ideal ‘singles’ event look like? Thinking about putting one together in NYC. And I have a gorgeous rooftop venue and a dating app on board. Just need good ideas!

@anafabrega11 100%. Taking risks, moving on, & trusting yourself requires a level of self trust and confidence built by 1. feeling safe. 2. encouraging adults who don't place the value of your worth on whether you succeed. 3. actually taking risks over & over & finding out you don't die.

We should encourage kids to take risks, get things wrong, try again, and move on when their talents are better used somewhere else

@LifespanDevelop This has always caused a weird hitch in my brain. If I'm trying to fall asleep and end up thinking about what it feels like to fall asleep or be asleep, or what I'll be conscious of next, my brain kind of freaks out and I can't go to sleep unless I think about something else.

Random thought: We can't identify the precise moment we fall asleep. It's like one moment I'm conscious and 'trying' to sleep, then seemingly a moment later (which really is hours later) I am in deep sleep and then aware that I am rolling over, few hours later it's morning.

@HippyMomPhD The moment I realized that some of my back and forth (intense empathy <> discomfort) with children was based on my own complicated relationship with my inner child was the moment that changed everything. "You are me" really resonates.

Most adults who get uncomfortable around children do not spend enough time around them. You can’t just pop in and pop out. You got to pour into them, and then you got to listen. You got to humble yourself. Say: I am you, you are me. I’ve been where you are. ❤️ ~Jason Reynolds

@ErwinvDeut @jonnym1ller It's usually based on your attachment style which is developed in childhood. I'd be happy to talk it out with you. I'm building a coaching business specifically for this work since I had a similar pattern and worked through it with several therapists. Feel free to DM!

@Stephpf @jonnym1ller That's me!!! I associate my chaotic emotional state as passion. I'm trying to get rid of that weird connection. To feel that peace in a relationship can also feel good. any tips to let go? :D

I suspect that a lot of incredible relationships end due to a lack of nervous system capacity within conflict ~ rather than a lack of love or being not the 'right person'

@MacGraeme42 @anammostarac Even things that start as the latter often turn into the former as soon as people who want control and/or money get ahold of a well-intentioned idea.

@anammostarac That may be true of the present crop (if they can even be called AI), but won't necessarily be true of future AI "girlfriends". Largely depends on the intent of the designers: to addict you to a dopamine rush, or to actually promote psychological/emotional health & social skills.

@carolinejtrulit Sitting down with a notebook & pen instead of my computer helps me. I often kickstart myself by taking the notebook into a public place & just writing what I observe. I find if there's just ONE phrase or image with some magic in it, the tap is back on. Sometimes. 🙃
