@VOR467 @DreamLeaf5 Birds have very fast metabolisms and particularly strong flight or fight responses, and are highly prone to arrhythmia because of that. There’s a reason you’re not supposed to scare pet birds. They can literally just drop dead if they get too stressed.

@tvmari @NineOuh90 The main issue is honestly just the fact that DC and Marvel completely dominate the comic industry and tend to pump out new iterations of old stories and characters rather than actually making new ones. Indie publishers make some pretty cool stuff, but they get overshadowed.

@DreamLeaf5 As a child, when I was on the docks eating food, there was a group of pigeons all next to me, every one of them was busy trying to eat what had previously been dropped. I reached down and scooped one up, kind of like this, and just held it a bit and then let it go.

@VOR467 @DreamLeaf5 The kind of pigeons that live near cities and towns are almost all domesticated. Being picked up isn’t such a big deal to them because it’s literally hardwired into their DNA to be comfortable around humans. Seagulls are very much not domesticated.
