@PaulVallas Chicago suffers the worst triumvirate of State/Count/City mismanagement in the US. It doesn't have to be this way...elections have consequences.

Mayor Johnson’s office is talking layoffs, and the police will bear the brunt. Every Chicago mayor who significantly reduced police strength saw crime surge. That’s not a coincidence. Mayor Emanuel eliminated more than 1,500 police positions, and murders increased by 61%. Mayor Lightfoot eliminated roughly 1,500 positions, and murders increased by 83%. Police shortages are already so severe that nearly half of all high-priority 911 calls have no available squad car when they come in. Detective shortages mean that only 25% of murders, 6% of non-fatal shootings, 10% of assaults, and just 2% of sexual assaults result in an arrest. Any cost savings from reducing police strength are offset by soaring overtime costs, which are now nearly triple what they were when the department was at full staffing levels. The city has already spent $137 million—77% of its overtime budget—in just the first six months of this year because of existing police shortages. The Mayor’s office is once again proving that shortsighted decisions come with long-term consequences.

@DemocratSerena2 A large percentage of Republicans hated Obama for one reason -- He is Black. Most of the other Republicans hated Obama for one reason -- They bought into the conspiracy theory that he was not born in America.

I will never understand what Obama did to make Republicans hate him so much. It never made any sense to me. No scandals. No affairs. No sexual assault allegations. Nothing.

My top 4 reasons: 1) Empowered Iran and its fanatical nuclear ambition. 2) Crashed the best race relations in 100 years into a wall of resentment and envy. 3) Lied to the public about Obamacare, which became the inevitable disaster it is today. 4) "Fundamentally transformed America" by secretly establishing an intricate web of collusion among gov't agencies and NGOs that launders tax $s to left-wing causes that the govt can legally fund.

Where to begin...? First, we aren't citizens of a pure "democracy"...it's a constitutional republic. If you don't understand the diff, I suggest AI. Second, did you know Bill Clinton won with 42% of the popular vote? Yes...58% voted against him. But he got 370 votes in the electoral college. It's just shameful that history and civics aren't taught properly--if at all.

This is extremely common sense so of course Republicans oppose it.

He is not 'energizing the base' —he's declaring war on any Democrats who "compromise, who conciliate, and who betray" the revolution by funding ICE, supporting Israel, or working with "fascists." "We don't need those Democrats anymore." The new left doesn't want accommodation or coalition. They want to purge you, take over, and run it themselves. Piker is telling you exactly what comes next. "We are coming. We are unbossed. We're unbought. We're unbound. And we will become undeniable." Believe him. (And yes — that does appear to be a Mao Zedong-inspired jacket. History rhymes.)

I didn't fight for gay rights so the movement could become this circus of sterilization, compelled speech, and grooming. Real gay people want peace, not endless revolution. The Hillary Clinton email scandal was, in many ways, the origin of the weaponized lawfare era. The Russiagate narrative was initially developed to divert attention from her private email server by laying the groundwork to blame Russia if her missing “yoga” emails ever surfaced. When Trump won anyway, that same narrative was repurposed into an effort to drive him from office. When that failed, it was followed by one manufactured scandal after another. Yet it all traces back to Hillary Clinton, and no one has ever been held accountable. Not for the cascade of hoaxes, and neither for running a private email server designed to evade public records requirements and conceal Clinton Foundation activities. That failure of accountability has poisoned American politics from the beginning. Until it is corrected, there is every reason to expect the pattern to continue.

A unanimous jury found that a man sexually abused a woman, then defamed her for saying so. He appealed - and appealed, and appealed. The verdict survived every level. That man is the sitting president of the United States.

The funds went to a "nonprofit" and then into a PAC that pays both her and her husband. Incredibly messed up. Bush has REFUSED to release how much money was raised or how much actually reached the victims. She also refuses to explain her current role with the group while running for Congress again. My aunt is the legendary singer Patti LaBelle. She has performed our National Anthem FOUR different times at major national sporting events. Not once did she ever sing the Black National Anthem. She ALWAYS performed "The Star-Spangled Banner." And tomorrow, she will do it again at the 2026 MLB All-Star Game. Why? Because she will be singing to EVERY AMERICAN - not just some of us. She will be using her beautiful, powerful voice to bring us TOGETHER - not tear us apart. And I like to think that’s because President Trump is in office and his message is AMERICA FIRST. The most lasting legacy of Covid — even above the school learning loss and the national debt soaring — is that because virtually every “Covid conspiracy” ended up true no one trusts the government on anything. It’s the primary reason Dr. Fauci skating on his lies is toxic.

It was the middle of the night, at about 1.30am, when Norway lost to England. Yet thousands of Norwegians went to the Palace in Oslo and celebrated with one final Viking row. They did not riot. They did not burn cars. They did not smash bus stops or glass windows of shops. They smiled. The laughed. They saw the positive in their performance. They celebrated their heritage. They were proud of who they have been in the past and who they are today. Norway might be out of the World Cup 2026 but they are in our hearts. In the last three weeks, I think we have all fallen a little bit in love with Norwegians.

Lindsey Graham was an American original. A truly self-made man, he lost his parents at an early age and cared for his younger sister. That same sense of responsibility and duty took him into the Air Force and the Congress. Lindsey was a great champion for our military, our troops, and our national security. A lover of liberty and a true patriot, Lindsey never stopped working on behalf of South Carolina and America. His premature death is a tragedy for all those who knew him. Anna and I join all Arkansans in extending our deepest condolences to Lindsey’s family and friends.
