Loved visiting here with the U’s a few times. I recall one of our fans falling down the terrace one year & away travel diverting to hospital to pick him up post match. Also getting there mega early one year so we played footy on the beach with some of the Swans fans.

@SteveJinSoCal Other clubs of similar size and/or income to us seem to be able to spend more. They said that the budget has increased by c.40% while the rest of the division's spending has increased by 70%. You can't get left behind and rely on recruitment, you're asking for miracles eventually

The fact that we have lost to yet another god awful team in this division and managed to finish below at least 20 of them is yet another in an inexhaustibly long list of reasons why we deserve to be relegated.

@thefamousFroMan This season was always going to be a struggle, but we certainly didn’t spend wisely. Recruitment was an absolute joke and not sacking Monk after the start we had means we’ve deservedly been relegated as a result.

@SteveJinSoCal Tbf, we haven't spent enough this time either, but what we did spend on was so far from acceptable.

@thefamousFroMan Can’t agree here. How much more money do you want the owners to pump-in? I’m pretty sure they don’t have infinitely deep pockets. The question you have to ask is why a club in one of the wealthest cities in the country has never attracted significant outside investment...

The board have underfunded us and tried to run this club on the cheap in this division, so this relegation was inevitably not far off once we got into League One. They simply have to show so much more ambition on the pitch to match the excellent job they do off it.

@thefamousFroMan It’s the worst side I’ve seen in over 50 years of supporting the Mighty Us - every other relegation has been due to ever decreasing budgets and increasing financial constraints off the pitch.

This is, pound for pound, the worst United side in the last 20 years and that is borne out by this being our first relegation in that many years too. Heads have rolled in the football department and many more must as part of the review of this season.

Will doesn’t seem to understand economics. All Trump has done, with the exception of steel, aluminum and cars, is to raise US tariffs to 50% of the tariffs applied by other countries to them. How exactly would you retaliate to that? And how long would it take to create this block you refer to? If you had half an economic brain cell, you would recognise that tafiffs are a barrier to free trade and hinder economic growth. Tariffed countries need to negotiate, not retaliate. And they could start by reducing tariffs they apply to the US. Retaliation is the reaction of petulant children.

The UK needs to integrate with the EU fast along with Canada to create a sane economic bloc - and then launch a big reflationary economic package . And do it fast - really fast. The world needs leadership.
