BREAKING: Farouk Kibet has publicly endorsed Moses Wetang'ula for the presidency in 2032, igniting debate over succession politics just six years before the next election cycle.
But the endorsement raises a bigger question:
Since when did unelected political operatives start deciding who will be Kenya's next president?
Maybe I'm missing something, but Farouk Kibet does not vote on behalf of millions of Kenyans.
To me, this feels less like a 2032 presidential declaration and more like a political message aimed at keeping Wetang'ula comfortable where he is.
It sounded more like a message: "Stay where you are, your future is safe."
But is it really?
If we're being realistic, Wetang'ula's political future is far from guaranteed. If Ruto wins another term, there is no guarantee Wetang'ula will remain Speaker. And ODM might demand that seat.
That's why this 2032 talk feels less like strategy and more like political reassurance.
What do you think Farouk Kibet was really trying to achieve with that statement?

My bill, Seeds and Plant Varieties (Amendment) Bill, 2025 proposes a faster, parallel seed-registration route in Kenya so improved varieties can reach farmers more quickly, especially drought-hardy and climate-resilient seeds. Its main importance is that it will reduce long approval delays, broaden access to quality seed, and support food security and agricultural innovation. I seek your support.
