I understand creating arguments, but I saw the list and thought, wonder if Brunson will be No. 1 - or if injured Kyrie still gets it...and Brunson is what? 49?

Last season Knicks had two with Philly in Abu Dhabi, then Washington, Minnesota and Charlotte.

Also no Knicks vs. Celtics preseason games. Sixers have only announced home and home with Boston. Washington, the other nearby squad, has not put out schedule (and Knicks have not either)

The Nets announced their preseason schedule and once again there will not be a Knicks-Nets preseason game despite it making all the geographical sense in the world. Instead, the Nets will go to Charlotte, Washington and Miami. The Cold War has reached a decade.

@StevePopper I think not knowing how to use twitter correctly is one of the more endearing things about him personally. It's really funny to me whenever he uses like 8 emojis in a tweet.

A day later, still surprised that he chose Philly over Miami or Golden State. More surprised that he doesn't know he could have this all in one tweet instead of four and that no one edited out the typo. Two months to work on chemistry with the Sixers and figure out X.

While Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and the rest of the cast are feted around New York City this summer, they can expect it to go on for decades to come. Their place in New York history is secured and maybe there are still some fans sipping champagne in alleys along the parade route through the Canyon of Heroes. But eventually the celebrations will subside and training camp will open and the Knicks will have to get back to work and attempt to do what no team seems to be able to do anymore.
Repeat.
The challenge just got tougher. But winning the summer on paper isn't like winning it on the court.

So when of them is the GM now it might seem like the player is not going to be the savior. But since LeBron is coming in at a role player price it’s certainly worth the shot.

Right, as I said in the column, going from sharing the spotlight with Tatum to fighting to avoid being the fifth option...definitely a change. If LeBron would come off the bench that might be the best option for them -- put Wade in the starting lineup and let him take 3 shots. Won't happen though.

@StevePopper The Sixers look great on paper with the free agent signing of LeBron James and the trade for Jaylen Brown, the problem will be there is only one basketball to go around

I'll say this for the Knicks repeat hopes versus the rebuilt Sixers -- a lot of if's on a very good on paper Philly team. Relying on LeBron to stay healthy at 41 (turns 42 in December), Embiid to stay healthy at any age, chemistry to work in first season together. Asking a lot.

I'm not sure I buy that he was going to walk away quietly, but if he still has that fire then play on. Another challenge for the Knicks hopes of repeating.
