@bodenknights The handball rule is a shambles - his arm was barely away from his side and the ball also deflected off his thigh onto his arm. That’s never a penalty in a million years. Intent/deliberate/hand to ball type wording needs to be re-introduced

Time taken v fan enjoyment, accuracy of decisions, a lot of calls still being on refs opinions rather than facts sometimes. Just think imo putting time pressure on them in certain situations won’t help either.

Officials on the pitch make a call, if it’s CLEAR & OBVIOUS, VAR can overturn, if it isn’t, on-field decision stands.
But handball & offside rules need to change too

@BBCMOTD He’s right! If an “absolute” decision can’t be reached in 60/90 seconds, then it should revert to the on-field decision.
This puts more onus on the officials because their call is going to count at some point
Plus it speeds the game up, no more contentious 6 minute reviews

Offside, only the feet count, make it daylight required (more goals, less lengthy reviews)
Handball, bring back deliberate/control.
90 second time limit on ANY reviews, if it’s not CLEAR & OBVIOUS in 90 seconds it stays with ref’s call

The VAR debate should have no tribalism, no point scoring, no twitter trolling - proper football fans should all want it gone or at the very least completely revamped to a working state.
