This was my vacation project hypothesis "Could I feed ChatGPT a set of GitHub issues, and discussions, have it cross reference the existing Aspire documentation and then do gap analysis to figure out what the missing docs are. Here's an example of the output: github.com/dotnet/docs-as…

@Steve_MSFT @guyrleech @BoreanJordan The intended behavior would certainly not be the actual behavior - I have manually uninstalled PowerShell in between every test I made, so for a fresh installation, nothing happens. Even then it should just run like for other actions like registering for Windows Update

Be aware that if the "Enable Remoting" tickbox is ticked when you install #PowerShell 7.x from .msi, it does not create the PowerShell.7 session configuration so you can't remote in & get 7.x until you run enable-psremoting, elevated, in 7.x. 5.1 remoting was working ok. I'm using WSman not SSH.

@Steve_MSFT @guyrleech @BoreanJordan And hum... maybe this has been broken for quite a while, because the "Enable PowerShell Remoting" checkbox in the MSI installer GUI is apparently also ignored with 7.2.17, here's a video as proof:

@Steve_MSFT @guyrleech @BoreanJordan That's what has me so confused - nothing changed, except maybe Windows? Can someone else reproduce this with older installers which are known to work? Why would running the command manually post-installation works if the MSI is just supposedly doing the same thing?

@awakecoding @guyrleech @BoreanJordan The older releases didn't have changes to the MSI definition (unlike 7.4), however, the way things are being built has changed a bit but I would not have expected that to affect this specific option. As you pointed it, it literally runs `pwsh -c enable-psremoting`.

@guyrleech @Steve_MSFT @BoreanJordan the MSI installer "Enable PSRemoting" option seems to be broken, but what's even more confusing to me is that it no longer works with older releases which I know for a fact used to work as well. It's weird because calling Enable-PSRemoting manually works
