my HUGE problem with people wanting this to be a for the solar system (other than it being a horrible design for a flag) is that it is missing MAJOR aspect from Voyager: the diagram of a hydrogen atom that is the literal key to deciphering it
without it, it's just gibberish

something i love about this scene is that it doesn’t feel like the show is just hitting a traditional regen story plot point. amy entering the tardis for the first time in 14 years feels emotionally earned. the reveal of its interior feels genuinely significant

So I was sleeping on how incredible even the day 1 and 2 photos would be. The aesthetic is different from the Hasselblads but the Art II photos will be remembered forever. Aura, as the kids say.

@artsyomni If you asked me in 2023 I would've bet on WORLD being movie 2 (I think that was the initial development intention, with Yoshi being teased at the end of the first), THEN Galaxy... but it seems like they deffs want to fast track the expanded universe to get to smash bros asap

So is it safe to say at this point that the choice to go with Mario Galaxy as a second movie was motivated primarily by the intention to expand the universe? It's a convenient framing to facilitate drawing from as many different sources as possible, Mario and otherwise.

The thing that always perplexes me is that there ARE people with personality who can speak about movies intelligently in the online space. Like we use “influencers” as a blanket word but there are ton of capable people. They’re just not getting picked for these opportunities.
