@Tyler_A_Harper Kinda tough task, what with an electorate that elected Trump twice backed up by an electoral system that forces Democrats in congress to win 65% of the votes to get a 50-50 split.

A lot of our present discontent is downstream from the fact that Obama broke a lot of people’s hearts. He promised hope and change, didn’t deliver all that much of it, then retreated to a quiet life of opulence and golfing. Ever since we’ve had a politics dominated by cynicism.

Trump’s cancellation of all of Harvard’s federal contracts (whatever the harm to national security!) erases any doubt that he is trying to punish Harvard with a Bill of Attainder that the Constitution would forbid as a usurpation of Judicial Power even if Congress went along.

@SageBigavelli @SteveCicirelli I am so glad that I retired as a professor of writing before AI was invented. Students are there to LEARN HOW to write. They don't need coursework to learn how to ask A I to write for them. They know that already. It's a waste of their tuition and of their professor's time.

I just failed a student for submitting an AI-written research paper, and she sent me an obviously AI-written email apologizing, asking if there is anything she can do to improve her grade. We are through the looking-glass, folks.
