Yesterday I wrapped up my college baseball career as well as my playing career. I was reflecting on some things that I wish I knew coming into college or somethings that I would tell younger players interested in playing college baseball. So here they are in no particular order⬇️

You’re performance isn’t your identity, your preparation should be your identity. Preparation is a reflection of who you are and what you’re trying to become. The path will end, but the preparation will teach you how to survive beyond the game.

Every player on the planet needs to hear this — over and over again: Remove all the “stuff” — results, expectations, distractions — and just compete. Compete. Compete. Compete. At the end of the day, it all comes down to becoming the ultimate competitor. Breathe. Center your thoughts. Lay it on the line and compete.
